About Leila Cafe

- Leila, the name of Kammouny’s daughter, means “pure night” in Arabic. Leila Café is owned by Kammouny. My experience of many years in Middle Eastern Cuisine and Backery produced simply the Center City's Best Middle Eastern Cuisine.

Leila Cafe provides simply one of the best Hummus, Tabouleh, Gyro, Baba Ganoush, Falafel, Shawarma and fresh smoothies that are guaranteed to please you. Great Service, nice atmosphere, and great food.

Our Cafe with a room for about 24 inside. Menu features all sorts of combo platters, sandwiches, an extensive smoothie selection and plenty of vegetarian options. Ten different flavored tobaccos for hookahs, which run $17.

Platters are served on a bed of basmati (w/ side of hummus and pita) and run from standards like falafel & grape leaves to meatier offerings like beef kibbe (w/ burghul wheat & sautéed vegetables), chicken, and the parsley-tinged, ground-chuck kaffta.

All grub's handmade from scratch, from meat and spinach pies, baba ghanoush, and the Maza combo (tabouleh, fattoush, grape leaves, kibbie...), to gyros, chicken kabobs, and shawarma, described as a "special touch of lean meat", which you've been missing since you left the experimental sanctuary of college.

Leila also offers a range of milk- and juice-based smoothies, plus tabletop hookahs packed with a choice of ten flavors from "original" to cappuccino; custom mixtures are also a possibility.
